Maxim is an unbelievably talented Ukrainian composer and oboist. He needed an online portfolio to showcase his multidimensional body of work, and fresh photos to share with the press, so I worked on both.
Maxim gave me total artistic freedom with one request: the result needed to feel true to him, not be too solemn or dull. He didn’t want his face to be the fist thing people would see, so I came up with a cables 3D illustration that turned out to be quite symbolic for Max.
Later on we collaborated again and I designed a cover for Maxim’s latest album innerlicht.
Maxim was recently commisioned to create an opera by the Met.
